Providers News: Family OnDemand Launches on Cogeco

Astral Media’s Family Channel today announced that it will launch its first on-demand service on Cogeco Cable on March 4, 2008. The new service will offer a minimum of 30 hours of programming from Disney, including Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, together with popular Canadian series such as Life With Derek and Naturally, Sadie. Family OnDemand will also offer entertaining and educational programming from Playhouse Disney, enabling young children and their families to enjoy such series as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and My Friends Tigger and Pooh whenever they want. The titles offered on Family OnDemand will be offered to Family Channel digital subscribers at no additional cost so kids can watch their favourite shows as often as they choose.

Providers News: Cogeco Cable adds The Movie Network's Mpix OnDemand to its Ontario digital line-up

Cogeco Cable and The Movie Network announced that Mpix OnDemand will launch today as part of Cogeco’s Ontario digital line-up. Beginning today, all Cogeco Cable Digital television customers who subscribe to The Movie Network and Superstations Movie Package will have free access to Mpix OnDemand, a subscription video on-demand (SVOD) service offering classic movies which are five years or older.

Providers News: Cogeco adds 3 english and 8 french HD channels

Cogeco Cable announced today a major upgrade of its High Definition (HD) television offering. Most of Cogeco Cable’s Digital Television subscribers in Québec will now have access to eleven HD channels, eight of which are in French and three in English.

Providers News: Cogeco expands its High Definition Television coverage in Ontario

Cogeco Cable is now extending the High Definition (HD) offering to the wide majority of its Ontario interconnected systems. In April, Cogeco Cable have already deployed HD television services to Burlington/Oakville, Parry Sound, Huntsville, Lindsay, Belleville and upgraded areas of Hamilton and Halton systems. Effective this week, customers in the remaining Cogeco systems of Hamilton and Halton, Cobourg, Brockville, Leamington, Kingston, Windsor, Peterborough, North Bay, Chatham, Sarnia/Wollesburg, Grimbsy, Fergus, Gavenhurst, Cornwall and Niagara Falls/St.Catharines now have access to the HD television experience.

Cogeco Cable : Mission Accomplished with Video on Demand

Last November, Cogeco Cable announced that it was beginning to roll-out its new Video on Demand (VOD) service. As of March 31, 2003, VOD has been deployed to 85 % of households overall, 92% in Ontario and 71% in Quebec. Among Cogeco digital cable customers who are aware of this new service, 53% have tried it in Ontario compared to 63% in Quebec.

Cogeco cable launches Video on Demand

A new Video on Demand (VOD) service has been
launched by Cogeco Cable. The service is now available in the Ontario regions of Hamilton, Niagara and St Catharine's and in the Quebec regions of Trois-Rivières, Shawinigan and Grand-Mère. Roll-out to all other customers will be done gradually: approximately 45% of customers by Christmas and 70% by the end of February.
