| CBC & SIRIUS Announce Venture To Bring Satellite Radio To Canadians |

CBC/Radio-Canada, Canada's national public broadcaster, and SIRIUS (NASDAQ: SIRI), known for delivering the very best in commercial-free music and premium broadcast entertainment to cars and homes throughout the continental United States, today announced that they will form a joint venture to bring satellite radio to Canada. CBC/Radio-Canada and SIRIUS also announced today that the venture will soon file an application with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) for a license to provide satellite radio in Canada.

CBC Sports is broadcasting for the first time in High Definition Television on Saturday, November 22 as a historic day at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton unfolds, celebrating the Oilers’ 25th anniversary, and the return of a legend, on CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET.

| CBC Gears Up for the Playoffs |

CBC's HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA begins its coverage with three games Wednesday, April 9: Viewers on the full network (except in Ottawa, Quebec and Alberta) will see Mats Sundin lead the Toronto Maple Leafs into Philadelphia for a battle with Jeremy Roenick and the Flyers (7 p.m. ET). Viewers in Ottawa and Quebec will see Alexei Yashin and the New York Islanders take on his former mates, the Ottawa Senators, led by Daniel Alfredsson and Patrick Lalime (7 p.m. ET). Viewers in Alberta will see another great dual between Mike Modano and the Dallas Stars as they host Mike Comrie and the red-hot Oilers at 7:30 p.m. On evenings when there are multiple "early games", CBC's HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA will rebroadcast games that were not seen in the various regions to those regions in Late Night programming.

This Fall marks 50 years of Canadian television and CBC/Radio-Canada is inviting the whole country to join in the celebrations. Beginning September 6th, five decades after the first broadcasts from Montreal and Toronto in 1952, CBC/Radio-Canada will kick-off a month full of activities. Tune in to 50th Anniversary television programs, go online to Anniversary websites, join in community celebrations, and climb aboard a special CBC/Radio-Canada 50th Anniversary VIA Rail Train as it makes stops in communities across Canada.
