On any given night in Toronto it is estimated that over 100,000 lost, abandoned and feral cats roam the city streets. Never spayed or neutered, these cats produce thousands of offspring adding to the burgeoning number of homeless pets. In Canada, 400,000 unwanted animals are euthanized each year, at least two-thirds of them cats. Euthanizing unwanted animals has been seen as the only viable solution by animal control agencies to deal with cat overpopulation. Now cat rescue groups, shelter workers and humane societies alike are calling for a stop to the needless killing of healthy, adoptable animals and are demanding humane alternatives.

| Ratings: Wednesday Night TV Ratings: BONES and GLEE Win Their Timeslot |

As the conventional landscape becomes even more competitive, Global's powerhouse lineup continues to shine. Last night, a new episode of Bones sailed past the competition in a non-simulcast to solidly win its timeslot nationally, both 2+ and in the key Adults 18-49 demo. Then at 9pm, this year's breakout hit Glee went head-to-head with the season premiere of CTV's drama Criminal Minds as well as CityTV's new comedy Modern Family, and more than held its own nationally and in the key markets, marking another impressive week for the biting new comedy. Glee, now only in its 3rd week, was officially picked up for a full season order, the very first of the new fall series to receive this green light.

| Ratings: Global dominates Wednesday primetime |

The numbers are in and Global's one-two Wednesday primetime punch is definitely something to sing about! Bones made a triumphant return in a pre-release to win the night nationally with 1.7 million viewers while Glee proved its staying power as nearly 1.4 million viewers 2+ tuned into episode two. Glee also hit top marks with 817,000 viewers Adults 18-49, winning the night overall for this key demographic.
