Plus, root for your favourite celebs from the world of sports, music and television as they put their skills on the line to win money for their favourite charities. Programming Highlights: 11 Bravo!FACT-funded films and a Bravo! Documentary to Screen at TIFF

CTV is pleased to celebrate this week’s announcement that 11 of the 41 short films, a whopping 27%, selected to screen at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) were funded by CTV’s Bravo!FACT (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent). As well, one of Bravo!’s upcoming documentaries, Genius Within: The Inner Life of Glenn Gould was also selected to screen at TIFF.

Programming Highlights: CBC Responds to Friends of Canadian Broadcasting: Rumors are false, requests retraction

Chris Ball from CBC denied the rumor launched earlier today stating that the CBC was exploring the possibility of moving The National from 10pm to 11pm. Chris Ball writes in a letter to Friends of Canadian Broadcasting:
We were shocked to read your press release and letter to our board of directors in which you baselessly assert that we will be moving The National from 10 pm to 11 pm, reducing it in scope and replacing it at the 10 p.m. timeslot with Entertainment (possibly foreign) programming. All of these assertions are 100% untrue.
