One of the country’s brightest young sports journalists is coming to TSN, as the network today announced that sports reporter Mark Masters has joined Canada’s Sports Leader.
Sportsnet World is now home to the International Cricket Council’s biggest events, as Sportsnet today announced a new four-year agreement with ESPN STAR Sports, Asia’s No. 1 sports content provider, for all ICC events through 2015 on multiple Sportsnet platforms. The exclusive Canadian media agreement includes eight major international tournaments, leading up to the world’s premiere cricket event – the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Rogers Sportsnet announced today a five-year agreement with the American Hockey League for the multiplatform Canadian media rights to the AHL All-Star Classic, beginning with this year’s AHL All-Star Skills Competition and the AHL All-Star Game in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

RDS announced this week its highly-anticipated companion channel RDS2 will launch on Friday Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. ET. The new 24-hour French-language sports network will feature a jam-packed line-up with more than 1,500 hours of live sports action each year.
