A&E

This winter, A&E is bringing back the critically acclaimed Real-Life series, "The First 48" for more action-packed drama following homicide investigators across the country. In season ten, "The First 48" will cross the 150th episode threshold - a testament to its longevity and the hard work of every single detective featured in the series. The new season premieres Thursday, January 14th at 9:00PM ET/PT.

"The First 48", one of the most watched non-fiction investigative series on cable, takes viewers behind the scenes of real-life investigations with unprecedented access to crime scenes, forensic processing and interrogations. The series, which follows homicide detectives in real time during the critical first 48 hours of murder investigations, follows the nation's top police departments, including Miami, Louisville, Birmingham and new this year, Harris County, Texas (The county surrounding Houston).

In its ninth season, "The First 48" averaged 1.9 million viewers per premiere episode.

Premiere episode:

"The First 48". Twist of Fate (60 minutes). In Louisville, a community is outraged when a married couple is gunned down at home in front of their two young children. Det. Kevin Trees and the homicide team hit the streets hoping the community's strong reaction to the killing will trump the neighborhood's long-standing code of silence. Armed with expert interrogation techniques and a polygraph, Trees navigates his way through false leads and deceptive witnesses. As he works his way toward a suspect, the investigation takes a shocking turn. CC HD [TV14]
