Astral Media's The Movie Network and Family Channel Original Programming Recognized with 24 Gemini Nomiations

Astral Media’s The Movie Network and Family Channel original series have received a total of 24 nominations for the 24th Annual Gemini Awards as announced today by The Academy of Cinema and Television. Taking the lead for The Movie Network’s original series is Sanctuary with six nominations, followed by The Line and Stargate Atlantis garnering five nominations each and ZOS: Zone of Separation receiving two nominations, including a nod for Best Dramatic Series. Family Channel’s original live-action comedy series Life With Derek and The Latest Buzz received a total of six nominations including recognition in the Best Children's or Youth Fiction Program or Series category. Celebrating excellence in Canadian English-language television, the 24th Annual Gemini Awards will be presented on November 14, 2009, in Calgary, Alberta.
