With programming from The Movie Network's classics movie channels Mpix and Mescape, the new 24-hour high-definition schedule consists of programming from Mpix's suspense, thriller and action-packed movies to Mescape's quality drama and light-hearted entertainment. Upcoming premieres on MHD include The Deer Hunter, A Simple Plan, The Hotel New Hampshire, The Blob, 200 Cigarettes and Waiting to Exhale in addition to Mpix favourites such as Titanic, Great Expectations, Revenge of the Nerds I & II, Saturday Night Fever, Staying Alive, Boogie Nights, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Karate Kid, Star Trek: Insurrection, Born on the Fourth of July, Rain Man and Fun with Dick and Jane.

The Movie Network has been at the forefront of high-definition technology in Canada, providing regularly scheduled programming in high-definition and Dolby Digital 5.1. since 2000. MHD is The Movie Network's second high-definition channel and launched in January 2006 with a selection of high-definition simulcasts from Mpix and Mescape. The Movie Network launched its first 24-hour, all high-definition channel, The Movie Network HD (TMNHD), in May 2005. TMNHD features a full schedule of high-definition content from HBO and Showtime in addition to The Movie Network's own original Canadian drama series and Hollywood-hit movies from the major studios.

MHD is currently available at no additional cost in an uncut and commercial-free environment to Bell ExpressVu, Rogers Cable, Cogeco Cable and Aurora Cable high-definition customers subscribing to Mpix. For more information and a schedule of MHD, please visit http://www.mpix.ca/hdtv/.
